Chemical Biology Core Facility
High-throughput (HTP) screening of small molecules is essential for the discovery of potential regulators of intra- and supracellular networks and of lead substances for pharmacological intervention. Identifying such compounds requires the availability of suitable assays for HTP screening, as well as a compound library, and the infrastructure for robotic screening. DKFZ and EMBL have jointly established a Chemical Biology Core Facility and Heidelberg University joined as a third partner in support of the CellNetworks program.
